Born and raised in Waterford, New York, Ms. Brendese attended Catholic Central High School where she earned her Advanced Regents Diploma and graduated with valedictory honors. She went on to graduate Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics from Manhattan College. Ms. Brendese then completed her Masters of Science in Mathematics Education at SUNY Albany. Beginning her teaching career at Christopher Columbus High School in the Bronx, Ms. Brendese moved back to the Capital District in the fall of 1999. After teaching pre-Algebra through AP Calculus at Christian Brothers Academy, Troy High Summer School, Heatly High School, and Stillwater High School, Ms. Brendese is currently in her fourth year at Schenectady High School. She has recently been accepted into the Institute for New Era Leadership & Innovation at The College of St. Rose. As a member of the third and final cohort, she will pursue a second masters degree in Educational Administration. In her spare time, Ms. Brendese and her husband own and operate Infinity Farm, a small equestrian facility located in Amsterdam, NY . A student of both mathematics and horsemanship, she devotes all of her free time to pursuing dressage, an equestrian discipline centered around precision, learning, and (what else!!!) geometric patterns.
